Neutral tone is still a choice for a classic look that actresses like Hailee Steinfeld, Halle Berry both wearing Marchesa gowns and Mandy Moore in Monique Lhuillier accomplished.

Embroidery and embellishments were used in memorable dresses that got the stare of attendants and fashion critics because of its magnificence and some others because of its extravaganza.
For instance, Michelle Williams in Chanel, Cate Blanchett in Givenchy, Nicole Kidman in Dior and Rhea Durhman, Mark Wahlberg’s wife, in Naeem Khan.

Eventhough color black is always flatering, this time did not look amazing in actresses like Reese Witherspoon in Armani, Sharon Stone
in Dior, and Helena  Bonham Carter in Colleen Atwood.

In addition, there were other actresses that managed to look breathtaking like Mila Kunis in a deep cleavage, flowing chiffon and lace
Elie Saab Haute Couture dress. Moreover, others let us forget the dresses they wore at the last Golden Globe, like Michelle Williams
who had worn a beige with floral prints dress by Valentino, and Halle Berry in an lingerie-inspired dress with corset, skirt and overskirt
by Nina Ricci.

The 83rd Academy Awards: The eight gowns Anne Hathaway wore

Maybe what was really notable, were the eight gowns the hosting actress wore during the event, which were really different from each other showing from gowns made from shiny fabrics or embellishments like the one created by Tom Ford, clear tones such as the Givenchy gown, accentuated colors like the red Valentino dress, and intense ones like Armani Privé dress.

8.- Anne Hathaway in a red Valentino Couture dress

Among my favorite were the two red Valentino Couture gowns, the one she was wearing when she arrived to The Kodak Theatre and the other one she wore for the after party, I also liked the Armani Privé one, and the Oscar de La Renta metallic fringe dress the actress shaked like a Charleston dancer, that gave her fresh, radiant and youthful.
