Hace un poco más de un mes vi en
MTV el último video de la nueva canción de Katy Perry : “ET”, y el domingo que
pasó la pude escuchar recién en una radio local, es una canción que parte del
álbum “Teenage Dream” pero que a diferencia de los últimos videos, este rompe
los esquemas previamente planteados por la artista, mostrándose como una alienígena
de maquillaje y peinados muy bien elaborados que incluye tocados y trenzas ,
vestidos vaporosos y voluminosos, que nos
muestran una nueva faceta de Perry, futurista y vanguardista que nos hace
pensar en Lady Gaga, experta en este estilo de presentaciones.
A little more than a month ago I saw
the video of the latest song of Katy Perry “ET” on MTV, and I just got the
chance to listen to it on the radio last Sunday, it is a song that belongs to
the album “Teenage Dream”, but that
breaks the molds of the artist when looking like an alien thanks to the very
well elaborated makeup and hairstyles, including headdresses and braids,
vaporous and voluminous dresses that shows us a new angle of Perry, futuristic
and avant-garde making us recall Lady Gaga, an expert of this type of
presentations.
El video cuenta con la
participación de Kanye West y fue dirigido por Floria Sigismondi, directora de
videos musicales y fotógrafa nacida en Italia pero de nacionalidad canadiense
que ha trabajado con cantantes y grupos como Incubus, David Bowie, Bjork, The
White Stripes hasta Marilyn Manson, y
que dirigió la película The Runaways en la que actuaron Kristen Stewart y
Dakota Fanning.

The video has the appearance of Kanye
West , and Floria Sigismondi as the music video director; she is also a photographer
and was born in Italy, grew up in Canada and has worked for singers and bands
like Incubus, David Bowie, Bjork, The White Stripes and even Marilyn Manson,
she was also the film director of the movie The Runaways, in which Kristen
Stewart and Dakota Fannig acted.

los lentes que Katy encuentra al final del video en una caja transparente que
dicen Human Sunglasses Circa 2011, en
medio de un montón de desechos de nuestra acabada y post-apocalíptica tierra a la que ha llegado en algún año
posterior al 2030 probablemente, pues si notan al lado de dicha caja aparece
otra que describe Paloma: ave común extinta en dicho año.

on a transparent box founded at the end of the video by Katy under the name:
Human Sunglasses Circa 2011, in the middle of a bunch of garbage on a place of a
ruined and post-apocalyptic vision of our world, probably after the year 2030,
because if you notice the is another box right next to that one that says
Pigeon: A common bird, went extinct 2030.

recientemente trabajó como consultor de maquillaje para la película de ciencia
ficción Tron: El legado.

makeup was created by the artist Kabuki, a makeup genius in great demand among
the top fashion designers who frequently require him at their fashion shows,
recently has collaborated as a makeup consultant on the science-fiction movie Tron:Legacy.
For this video he shaped three options :
Alien : Usó un stencil en la frente para rocear el color fucsia,
delineador morado oscuro en ojos y labios, fucsia y celeste que extendió con
sombras para dar un efecto egipcio, y lentes de contacto turquesa como serpiente.
 
- Alien :
Fuchsia face makeup that was airbrushed through a stencil, fuchsia and sky-blue
for the shadows, colors he blend and rise till it winged out the eye for an
Egyptian style, dark violet eyeliner pencil and a matching lip color, turquoise
snake-like contact lens.
  Fawn : Using golden and medium brown tones cream concealer, and a brown pencil. She has spots painted on her face as a young deer. Johnny Wujek fue el encargado del
styling, quien se inició como modelo, pero que ahora es un super celebrity
stylist y conocido por su trabajo con Katy Perry como el que hizo en “California
Gurls”.

Para el vestuario, contaron con grandes diseñadores como Viktor & Rolf, de quienes fue creación el vestido blanco de novia que lleva la cantante al inicio del video, y Nicolas Jebran, diseñador libanés de alta costura diseñó el vestido rojo que es el segundo cambio de vestimenta. Jebran ha sido elección de Perry con anterioridad como el vestido nude con bordado que usó para los Pre-Grammy 2011.

included a Viktor & Rolf bridal dress, the one the singer wears at the beginning
of the video, and Nicolas Jebran red couture dress, Jebran is a Lebanese Haute
Couture designer which dresses have been picked by Perry at other occasions,
like the nude strapless embroidered dress she wore at the Pre-Grammy 2011.
